La jeunesse et la maturité sont un périple. Acquérir de l'expérience à mesure que nous avançons dans notre existence. C'est là que commence l'histoire de notre âme mortelle avec l’EP The Youngling, Vol. 1 sorti en 2021. Les Lehmanns Brothers continuent l’aventure en 2022 pour présenter The Youngling, Vol. 2 à l’automne. Cinq titres qui prolongent l’histoire et dévoilent préoccupations, illusions et sensations à travers de nouvelles compostions propres, le tout sur un groove chaleureux et énergétique. Un opus spéciale, enregistré et capté sur un format de live session à l’Alhambra Studios.
La découverte est la clé. Tant de chose à vivre et de choses à traverser. The Youngling est un achèvement d'une longue quête de soi, la recherche de la Singularité. The Youngling est un appel à la vie et à la reconnaissance d'exister. Une manière pour le groupe de comprendre son identité à travers son vécu, son développement et son évolution. L'exploration de toutes les humeurs par les compositeurs, rendent le voyage et l'aventure palpitante.
L’EP The Youngling, Vol. 1 parlait d'amour perdu, d'amour fort, de moments de doutes et d'introspection, de révélations face à l'existence et de la connaissance de ses propres limites. Faire vibrer les corps aux notes de cœurs brisés. Faire chanter les voix au rythme de groove déchaîné.
Pour ce deuxième opus The Youngling, Vol. 2, le groupe propose un enregistrement qui se rapproche de leur prestation live en terme d’énergie, avec un enregistrement studio certes, mais avec la présence d’un public et d’une équipe de tournage. La captation de l’enregistrement par un réalisateur professionnel permet d’avoir un contenu vidéo de qualité et de diffuser cette prestation partout dans le monde !
L’Alhambra Studios a permis au groupe de disposer d’un bel et grand espace, d'accueillir et partager cette expérience avec des invités musiciens et choristes de talent. Ce qui explique ce line-up considérable de 15 interprètes, comme il était commun de voir il y a quelques décennies sur certaines esthétiques tel que le funk, l’afro-beat, la soul,… des lignes de chœurs, de cuivres et de pianos exceptionnelles.
D’autres groupes ont déjà proposé ce format de live session. On peut citer les Snarky Puppy ou encore Lomepal, dans un autre registre.
